Rules and Guidelines
Members of the Pensacola Paranormal Society (PPS) must adhere to the following rules, in addition to the rules outlined in the Application and Contract.
- All members must be over the age of 21.
- No investigating alone. A person must be accompanied by at least one other member of PPS, for safety, to confirm equipment readings, and to validate experiences.
- A visual survey of an area in the daylight is advised before an after nightfall visit. Always be aware of your surroundings for safety reasons
- Respect posted property, ask permission and do not trespass. Be sure you and your team have permission to be on site. Respect all No Trespassing notices posted and do not violate secured areas.
- No Smoking during an investigation. Agree beforehand on times and designated areas for smoking.
- No Alcohol or drugs before or during an investigation and/or hunt.
- Be sure to have proper identification on you at all times.
- No Ouija boards or séances during or after an investigation if on site.
- No fragrances or scented products should be used on your person before and during an investigation (deodorant is recommended however.)
- No horseplay will be tolerated during an investigation. The team is expected to conduct themselves in a professional and courteous manner.
- Always conduct your investigations in a professional, courteous manner. Littering and vandalism will not be tolerated
- Skepticism is necessary, but negative attitudes before, during and/or after investigations are distracting and non-productive.
- All incidents must be verified and agreed upon by a Lead Investigator before stated as factual.
- Investigations, information, and research is to be kept strictly in confidence between Pensacola Paranormal Society members, unless decided upon by a Lead Investigator. All private/residential cases will be kept confidential, no questions asked and no exceptions, except by written permission of the owner(s).
- Any person that wishes to join must be approved by a consensus of Lead Investigators.
- Destructive behavior or criminal mischief of any kind is strictly forbidden. Members caught will be immediately expelled from Pensacola Paranormal Society and authorities may be contacted. This includes sneaking into cemeteries at night without permission.
- If you are asked to leave the PPS, your membership dues will be returned to you at a pro-rated amount.
- If you leave PPS on your own accord, you will forfeit your membership dues.
- Rules may be updated at any time.
